“Hail Satan” Opening “Prayer” Prompts Walkouts in Alaska

Satanic Temple member Iris Fontana declared “Hail Satan” as part of her opening prayer at a government meeting open to the public in Alaska and was quickly met with protests and walkouts by attendees. “That which will not bend, must break, and that which can be destroyed by truth should never be spared as demise. It is done, hail Satan,” Fontana said to open the meeting, according to local radio station KSRM. This “prayer” was the result of the Alaska Supreme Court’s ruling last year allowing anyone to offer invocations, even devil worshippers. So much for “separation of church and state.”
