Trump Invites Media to Tour Immigration Detention Centers

In the wake of Left wing pearl-clutching over detention center chain-link fencing, President Trump has announced his plan to open illegal alien centers for media tours. “What we’re going to do is I’m going to start showing some of these detention centers because – to the press. I want the press to go in and see them,” Trump said, adding that the fake news New York Times is complaining about crowded conditions but not the open borders enabling it. The Left wants its cake and to eat it, too. We cannot address the deluge at the border without having someplace to house the homeless aliens streaming across the border. Alas, common sense isn’t all that common.

Here’s more from Washington Examiner…

President Trump told reporters he will invite members of the media to tour the immigrant detention centers that have been scrutinized over their conditions in recent weeks.

“What we’re going to do is I’m going to start showing some of these detention centers because — to the press. I want the press to go in and see them,” Trump said Sunday before boarding Air Force One.

Trump said he spoke with acting Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement Mark Morgan and acting Secretary of Homeland Security Kevin McAleenan to plan for the press to visit the centers.

MSNBC Censors President Trump’s 4th of July Event

MSNBC just stooped to a new low after refusing to air President Trump’s Independence Day “Salute to America” for no apparent reason. Before the decision, MSNBC host Joy Reid offered her own criticism of the patriotic festivities, arguing they remind her of Russia’s Vladimir Putin and North Korea’s Kim Jong-un. Of course, the MSNBC Leftist herd had no problem with President Obama’s sporadic “patriotic” gestures.

Here’s more from Washington Examiner…

While other networks such as Fox News and C-SPAN will be airing President Trump’s “ Salute to America,” MSNBC says it will not carry the Independence Day event live.

While the network won’t stream the event live, a spokesperson told Politico that it would assess in real time whether to air clips from the National Mall, which will feature a speech from Trump at the Lincoln Memorial, a massive fireworks display, a flyover by Air Force One and military aircraft, as well as tanks.

Earlier Tuesday, MSNBC host Joy Reid expressed criticism for the event and said that the display of military vehicles in the nation’s capital was reminiscent of leaders such as Russia’s Vladimir Putin and North Korea’s Kim Jong Un.

Media Ignore ANTIFA Attack on Gay Journalist

Left wing politicians and their MSM lapdogs are doing their best to ignore the Antifa domestic terrorists’ assault of Andy Ngo, a conservative, gay journalist, despite touting rainbows all over social media during a gay pride weekend. Cracks are showing, however, after CNN’s Jake Tapper commented on it, tweeting: “Antifa regularly attacks journalists; it’s reprehensible.” Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), in turn, called for the Justice Department to investigate and bring legal action against Portland’s mayor after he ordered city police officers to stand down and do nothing during the Antifa melee.

Here’s more from Washington Examiner…

Sen. Ted Cruz called for the Justice Department to investigate the mayor of Portland after a conservative journalist was attacked by Antifa members.

“To federal law enforcement: investigate & bring legal action against a Mayor who has, for political reasons, ordered his police officers to let citizens be attacked by domestic terrorists,” the Texas Republican tweeted Sunday.

“Those who facilitated or turned a blind eye to domestic terrorists—e.g., the Mayor—should be held fully accountable. By DOJ. By civil litigators. By criminal prosecutors. AND by the media,” he wrote in a subsequent tweet.

“Failing New York Times” Fakes News-Again.

The New York Times got busted twice this past weekend for publishing not one but two cases of fake news. In the first piece, writer Allan Rappeport tried to push the “Trump is a racist” narrative by bemoaning the allegedly needless delay of introducing the Harriet Tubman $20 bill due to racist motives complete with an “anonymous” source. Another story, dubbed “a virtual act of treason” by President Trump, alleged that the U.S. is escalating its online attacks against Russia’s power grid. Going as far back as Nixon, the Left media play the hapless tools of the DNC in an effort to take down whoever is the highest-ranking Republican.

Here’s more from American Thinker…

The “fake news” label for the New York Times is far more accurate and damaging to it than President Trump’s habitual label of “failing New York Times.” For one thing, there’s a genuine market niche for Trump hatred that has allowed the paper to expand its digital subscription roll and earn some real money. But the New York Times is failing at its original mission of being a trustworthy newspaper. The paper continues to sacrifice its credibility on the altar of “the narrative” – the leftist dogma that Donald Trump is: racist, sexist, homophobic, antisemitic, stupid, crude, vulgar, unpopular, dangerous, and any other negative human characteristic you could imagine.

That shrinking credibility is the Achilles Heel. Once people start dismissing anti-Trump news from the Times as risible because they know the paper has no scruples, its power is gone.

Americans Find Fake News Worse Than Terrorism

A new survey from the Pew Research Center reveals that Americans view “fake news” and bogus information as a bigger threat than terrorism, immigration, climate change, and racism. According to the survey, 68% of Americans believe fake news undermines their trust in government, while 54% say it undermines their confidence in other Americans. More than half say it affects the ability of political leaders to do their work. It also revealed that far more Republicans than Democrats blame journalists for fake news, which comes as no surprise given the Left’s near monopoly on American news.

Here’s more from Axios…

Americans view made-up news and information as a bigger problem than other critical issues, including terrorism, immigration, climate change and racism, according to a new survey from Pew Research Center.

Why it matters: The survey finds that Americans feel more worried today about fake news because it’s undermining their trust in key institutions, like government and the media.

The only issues that rank higher than made-up news and information as “very big problems in the country today” are drug addiction, the affordability of health care, the U.S. political system, and the income gap.

By the numbers: An overwhelming majority of Americans (68%) believe made-up news and information has a big impact on their trust in government, according to the survey.

MSNBC Defends Gun Rights…in Venezuela

In another case of accidental irony by the Left media, MSNBC reporter Kerry Sanders argued FOR the Second Amendment during a segment covering the violence at the hands of the Venezuelan government on disarmed protesters. Sanders noted Maduro’s monopoly on violence, adding context for lost MSNBC viewers: “You have to understand in Venezuela gun ownership is not something that’s open to everybody. So if the military have the guns, they have the power, and as long as Nicol·s Maduro controls the military, he controls the country.” Her remarks were made after a viral video showed an armored Venezuelan military vehicle plowing into a crowd of unarmed protesters. For the Left, it’s gun regulations for thee but not for me.

Here’s more from The Daily Wire…

MSNBC reporter Kerry Sanders accidentally made a strong case for the Second Amendment on Tuesday during a segment on the far-left network about the chaos in Venezuela.

The segment came after opposition leader Juan Guaido called on Venezuelan citizens and members of the armed forces to join a movement to overthrow brutal socialist dictator Nicolas Maduro.

Sanders noted that Maduro still maintained control of the military through the whole ordeal, adding: “You have to understand, in Venezuela gun ownership is not something that’s open to everybody. So if the military have the guns, they have the power and as long as Nicolás Maduro controls the military, he controls the country.”

LEAK: Google Blacklists Conservatives

Two official policies leaked this week reveal that Google keeps an in-house news media blacklist to silence conservative outlets. Google’s search features use “the deceptive_news domain blacklist” to filter out conservative sites in the search results. The strategy includes “fringe ranking” or “not showing fake news, hate speech, conspiracy theories, or science/medical/history denial unless we’re sure that’s what the user wants.” This revelation stands in direct contradiction to Google CEO Sundar Pichai’s testimony before the House Judiciary Committee earlier this year. Whether or not this is part of a broader Democratic political strategy remains to be determined, but we wouldn’t be surprised.

Here’s more from PJ Media…

New documents confirm that Google maintains and manually alters a news media blacklist that has targeted conservative outlets.

Two official policies called the “misrepresentation policy” and the “good neighbor policy” contribute to the company’s “XPA news blacklist,” maintained by Google’s Trust & Safety team, The Daily Caller’s J. Arthur Bloom reported Tuesday. “T&S will be in charge of updating the blacklist when there is a demand,” one of the documents reads.

Many search features use “the deceptive_news domain blacklist” to filter out sites that violate the misrepresentation and good neighbor policies, according to the document The Daily Caller unearthed. It was approved by Ben Gomes, Google’s head of search, Google Fellow Pandu Nayak, and software engineer Paul Haahr. Haahr is also involved in “fringe ranking: not showing fake news, hate speech, conspiracy theories, or science/medical/history denial unless we’re sure that’s what the user wants.”

Whistleblower: Google Calls Christians “Counter to Our Mission”

Google software engineer Mike Wacker is yet again blowing the whistle on his former employer. This time he’s revealing the company’s very anti-Christian bent after having slammed Christian YouTube ads as “homophobic” and “very counter to our mission.” These statements were published in Google’s in-house newsletter delivered to more than 30,000 employees. The revelation pours even more gasoline on the reality that Google, Facebook, and other tech giants have been caught in the midst of systematic censorship of conservative and Christian viewpoints.

Here’s more from PJ Media…

Early Wednesday morning, Google software engineer Mike Wacker went public with an incident showing anti-religious bias among the company’s Human Resources (HR) division. HR slammed Christian YouTube ads as “homophobic” and “very counter to our mission” in a newsletter that goes to 30,000+ employees at the company.

Wacker previously published the remarks of a Google manager who blamed “fake news” and “hate speech” for President Donald Trump’s election. On Wednesday, he tweeted, “Let me give an example related to religion this time, one where HR is involved in describing sincere religious beliefs as ‘homophobic’.”

The comment came in the “Yes, at Google” newsletter, which reaches 30,000+ employees, Wacker said. While the newsletter was once run by employees, HR took over in May 2018. He identified “Yes, at Google” as a “curated … newsletter of anonymized incidents of micro-aggressions and micro-corrections.” The newsletter has enabled a “call-out culture.”

Google Admits Creepy Off-Mode Location Tracking

At least one Google executive has admitted more than six months after the Associated Press reported that “many Google services on Android devices and iPhones store your location data even if you’ve turned off location tracking. During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Tuesday, Google Senior Privacy Counsel Will DeVries told lawmakers that “the processing of personal information is necessary to simply operate the service the user requested.” He added that “requiring” individuals to control data processing “can create a burdensome and complex experience that diverts attention from the most important controls without corresponding benefits.” In other words, user privacy is just too hard.

Here’s more from PJ Media…

A Google executive admitted during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Tuesday that Google tracks users’ phones — even when their location history is turned off.

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) questioned Google Senior Privacy Counsel Will DeVries about the company’s tracking policies during a hearing examining online consumer privacy. Some of DeVries’ answers will likely disturb consumers who thought there was a way to avoid being tracked by Google through their phones.

In his prepared remarks, DeVries told lawmakers that “the processing of personal information is necessary to simply operate the service the user requested.” He asserted that “requiring” individuals to control every aspect of data processing “can create a burdensome and complex experience that diverts attention from the most important controls without corresponding benefits,” and therefore a “specific consent or toggle” should not be required for every use of data.

Sandmann’s Family Hires Hard-Hitting Libel Attorney

The family of the now famous 16-year-old Covington Catholic High School student Nicholas Sandmann has hired a legal heavyweight specializing in “aggressive libel and slander suits against media organizations,” according to media reports. Todd McMurtry, the family attorney, says he settled on Lin Wood, who has the distinction of being dubbed “attorney for the damned” by former CBS anchor Dan Rather. Though the family has not committed publicly to suing the mainstream media for ruining their high school junior’s reputation on the national stage, McMurtry has said that “all options are on the table.” It’s time for a full-court press; hold the Left media accountable for fake news.

Here’s more from PJ Media…

The family of 16-year-old Covington Catholic High School student Nicholas Sandmann is not messing around. To protect their son’s reputation, they hired a high-profile Georgia attorney whose specialty is “aggressive libel and slander suits against media organizations,” according to WCPO.

This comes after the family contracted Kentucky’s largest public relations firm to help them navigate through the largely hostile media environment.

In a news release Thursday, the Sandmann family’s attorney, Todd McMurtry, said he “conducted an extensive search to find a nationally-recognized attorney skilled in the fields of libel, defamation, and the First Amendment.”
